CLIENT'S SITUATION
Damage in passenger lifts, boom barrier, gym equipment, motors, and other electronic equipment due to inundation (waterlogging).
Insurer admitted loss of Rs. 40 Lakh as per the Reinstatement Bills (Deductible - underinsurance of 50% was applied by the surveyor on the assessed loss) resulting in straight loss of Rs. 20 Lakh.
WHAT WE DELIVERED
We intervened in the case and represented our client before the insurance company. We took up the case on merits with the surveyor / Insurer. Using the experience and expertise of our Accounts Team in the calculation of adequacy of Sum-Insured, we successfully got the underinsurance removed resulting in a direct benefit of Rs. 20 lakh to the client.
